Phase 1: October 2 Update
We’ve opened the gates to the western portion of our revitalized Mangrove Bayou Walkway and over the coming days, we’ll be completing the finishing touches – including installing new lighting and benches! Pedestrians and bikers will enjoy using the new rubberized pathway that connects the north and south bayfronts, environmentally sustainable landscaping, and beautiful views of Sarasota Bay. In the video below, you can learn more about these improvements and what to expect when visiting the site. As a reminder, construction is still ongoing on the eastern portion of the Mangrove Walkway. So, please continue to use the designated pedestrian and bike paths. If you have any questions, contact us at Ask The Bay.
