Phase 1: April 26 Update

With the start of work on the uplands area of Phase 1 in the coming weeks and through the summer, our team will continue to diligently communicate all street closures and the best ways that visitors can access The Bay Park. 

Chief Implementation Officer, Bill Waddill, gives us an update in the below video on what the community can expect as Phase 1 continues to take shape including an update on the City’s water line replacement along Van Wezel Way.

As a reminder, the easiest and most accessible entry point at this moment of construction is to enter via the 10th Street roundabout and park in the Van Wezel lot, and then either enter by walking down the stairs near the Mangrove Bayou Bridge or via either access point along Sarasota Bay. Alternately, you can also access the walkway by parking in the Historic District lot and walking down the landscaped path past the Blue Pagoda.
