Phase 1: August 22 Update

The Mangrove Walk continues to take shape! In recent days, concrete was poured for the walking paths to the north and south of the bayou.

The new sidewalks feature natural accents, such as shell mixed into the concrete, for a “Florida” feel. 

Other improvements include the addition of no-mow buffers where the site slopes down into the mangroves, which helps prevent run-off and protects the shoreline.

The western portion of the new pathways is anticipated to open to the public this October, with the entire Mangrove Walk being completed in January 2021.
