Phase 1: January 9 Update

From Jan. 11-25, the south end of Van Wezel Way will be temporarily closed to replace underground, undersized stormwater pipes in that location. The new pipes will not only help solve the flooding problem that often occurs in that area but also allow for better stormwater treatment. A separate project by the City of Sarasota to replace the waterline along Blvd. of the Arts is also underway, and traffic patterns on this street may change.

While these projects are underway, we continue to encourage visitors to access The Bay via 10th Street and then park along Van Wezel Way, in the Van Wezel parking lot or the Historic District parking lot. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out via Ask The Bay.
