Thank you for registering for tonight’s Cinema at The Bay: “West Side Story.”We waited and waited to see if the weather would cooperate — as, like you, we were so excited to restart movies in the park.

Unfortunately, as the rain has continued with more expected over the next several hours, we will need to CANCEL tonight’s showing (for a second time).

We will reschedule this movie (again!) on a different date in the future (more details will be shared, once finalized).

We hope you will come to next week’s showing of the Alfred Hitchcock classic thriller of “Vertigo” — shown in recognition of the upcoming Sarasota Orchestra Great Escapes “Reel Intrigue” series (Holley Hall, October 16-19) featuring music from “Vertigo” and other shows that have a bit of fright.

Enjoy and sing along with this original musical classic in which a modern day Romeo and Juliet are involved in New York street gangs.

SOCIAL PICK! While it was a close call, this version of the movie beat out the 2021 remake. Come watch to see if you agree.

Come hungry and thirsty! The Nest Café will be serving delicious food, fresh popcorn, Margaritas and other refreshing drinks.

Know Before You Go:

Free parking is located along Blvd of the Arts and Van Wezel Way (excluding Oct 18-20), in front of the Van Wezel and the Blue Pagoda Welcome Center (655 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236). Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
For outdoor concerts and movies, please bring a chair or blanket to ensure you have a comfortable seat.
All pets must be non-aggressive and on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to pick up after their pets.
Location changes or event cancellations will be posted on The Bay Website, Facebook, and Eventbrite up to one hour before start time, as the weather changes quickly.
