The Bay was awarded a $1 million grant from The Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation to help fund the Phase 2 resilient shoreline and improved water quality efforts. The Barancik Foundation has been an important partner of The Bay since the beginning. Notably, the Foundation was the catalyst behind the creation of the half-mile shaded Mangrove Bayou Walkway which has become a cherished feature for park guests.
